Here at St Andrew’s our expectation is that all students will be committed to their learning by taking part in activities both in and out of the classroom. These experiences will enrich their lives, improve their skills and help them to enjoy school life to the full.

We offer a wide range of activities to all students and we believe that Enrichment helps students to develop their interests and abilities, but also promotes independence and interpersonal links with both staff and students. Therefore, whatever your child’s interests, they will find the opportunity to develop their talents and confidence through our Enrichment programme.

Clubs and activities take place at lunchtime and after school, incorporating interests such as debating, cheerleading, playing games, cadets or receiving additional support. And if a particular interest is not covered, we support our students in starting their own clubs.

For sports players there is a comprehensive fixtures calendar which enables students to represent St Andrew’s against local schools in the borough. These matches and competitions provide extensive chances for students to achieve in sport and also enhance their school experience as a whole.

Last year the School Production, Oliver!, was held in the Spring term working in collaboration with Minister Juniors and a large number of students participated whether they are involved on stage, behind the scenes or indeed producing the music.

We also hold numerous trips and visits throughout the year which are always very popular.

Each year in the summer term we also run an Enrichment Week where students are given the opportunity to attend an offsite residential, go on day trips, be involved in onsite workshops, participate in our annual sports day and fully immerse themselves in life beyond the classroom.
